MARY TILLOTSON (LEVER) 1843-1918
Mary Lever was the third child of James and Elizabeth Lever and the eldest sister of William Hesketh Lever, 1st Viscount Leverhulme. She married William Tillotson in 1870. When William died in 1889 she took on some of the managerial responsibilites of Tillotsons Newspapers assisted by her eldest son John (Jack) and her brother, William Lever. She lived at Westfield on Chorley New Road, Bolton and later at Hillside. She died in 1918
